Data transmission

  
To ensure the problem-free transmission of your data, please note the following points:

Data compression
If you compress your data, please only use StuffIt or Archiv software.

Data forwarding
You can send us your data on CD-ROM or DVD. We will also be happy to create an FTP account for you. Please contact us for more information (dtp@kud.ch).

Macintosh files
Please send us open Macintosh files or high-end PDFs. The open sources can be delivered in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop or QuarkXPress, Freehand or MS Word format.

PC files
PC files that have been created with publishing software from Adobe or Quark can be converted at K+D. If you use other programmes, such as Corel Draw or MS Publisher, please export and send the data as editable EPS files.

Pictures and fonts
Please send us all pictures and fonts for open sources.

 Colour definition
Please send us all data in CMYK colour mode or in correct spot colours (special colours). RGB sources are automatically converted to CMYK.

Trapping, overprinting
 Our specialists will define the trapping and overprinting.

File names
Please use short, clear file names with a maximum of 32 characters. Do not use accents (ä = ae), spaces or special characters (\.,;!/+* etc.) except for _ and -.

Additional data analysis
For an additional charge, we hare happy to have our specialists check all sources which are not delivered as described above and would therefore produce an unsatisfactory result. In this way we can ensure that your order can be processed on time and with the least effort. Our data analysis is part of our professional work.
